MAKSAM Ganei Alon was established in 2003, again in response to pressure from the local Ethiopian community, who saw the successful MAKSAM Centers in the Peer and Yoseftal neighborhoods, and to make sure that the children living in Ganei Alon and the three surrounding neighborhoods receive the same assistance and opportunities as the children of the Peer.

The Ethiopian Neighborhood Committee works closely with the MAKSAM Management and cooperates in the smooth running of the Center.

The pupils at Ganei Alon enjoy enrichment lessons in Art and Crafts and Sport.
