MAKSAM Yoseftal was established in 2002, in response to pressure from the Ethiopian community in the Yoseftal neighborhood who wanted their children to receive the same assistance and opportunities as the children in the Peer neighborhood.

Now over 40 Ethiopian Israeli children from the surrounding neighborhoods attend the MAKSAM Yoseftal Center every day, instead of roaming the streets looking for “something to do”.

MAKSAM Yoseftal’s dance troupe represent MAKSAM at municipal events and festivals and we are very proud of them.

The pupils also enjoy enrichment lessons in Art and Music.
